APP PRIVACY

BATREP
PRIVACY POLICY.

Privacy information for BatRep, a local-first tabletop battle-report tool published by Lost Rulebook Works.

Scope

This policy describes the current BatRep Android app published by Lost Rulebook Works. It covers BatRep’s local-first operation and is separate from the privacy policy for the Lost Rulebook Works website.

Information BatRep accesses

BatRep can access battle-report information that you enter, including battle context, timeline beats and post-game reflections. When you choose the Android photo picker, BatRep receives the selected local battle-photograph paths. The Android document picker can provide a selected Army List file.

Local storage and processing

BatRep does not require an account and does not send battle reports, photographs, Army Lists or other entered content to Lost Rulebook Works servers in this build. Reports, profile choices, attachments and drafts are stored locally on your device. Narrative generation processes the supplied battle context, timeline beats and post-game reflections locally; Army Lists are excluded from narrative generation.

Photographs and Army Lists

Selected photographs are processed locally for BatRep features. A selected Army List file is copied into BatRep’s private app storage on the device. The original provider URI is not uploaded by BatRep.

Sharing and exporting

Copy Text places selected report text on your device clipboard. When you choose a Share action, Android passes the text and/or photographs or Army List files you selected to the sharing app or destination you choose. This is a user-initiated action, not a BatRep backend transfer. After you send content, the receiving destination may handle it under its own privacy policy.

Data collection by Lost Rulebook Works

BatRep does not intentionally collect or transmit your entered content to Lost Rulebook Works. No BatRep cloud backend is configured in this build.

Third-party services and dependencies

BatRep uses the Android photo and document pickers when you request them, and Android sharing when you request a share action. BatRep does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, subscriptions, in-app purchases or a BatRep cloud service in this build. This policy does not certify what a third-party sharing destination may retain after receiving content.

Data retention and deletion

BatRep retains reports, drafts, profile choices and selected attachments in local device storage so you can resume, edit, archive or delete them. You can remove locally stored BatRep content in the app where supported, or remove the app and its local data through Android settings. BatRep does not claim that copies already sent to another app or service are deleted when local BatRep data is removed.

Children’s privacy and intended audience

BatRep is intended for users aged 18 and over, consistent with its Google Play audience setting. This is an audience statement and does not claim that BatRep contains adult content.

Security

BatRep keeps its report data and selected files in local device or app-private storage as described above. Device-storage security and access controls are provided by Android and the device environment.

Changes to this policy

If the BatRep data practices change, this policy may be updated to describe the current app behaviour.
